Hi all! If you've been following me for a while, you know that I am a high school teacher in Texas. I love my job and all that it offers me on a professional and personal level. One thing that teaching does not offer me is the kind of funding that would allow me to purchase necessary self-regulation tools, as well as extra supplies and rewards for my students. Ok now I really wanna hear about Amara as a sibling 👀 if you're willing to share ofc

Amara becomes a parent to her sister Reneé (i wont be adding the accent again I hate typing it) at like, 15 when her parents die. The age can change depending on the universe, as shes my easter egg and I put her in all my stories. The important part is she goes from a kid told she has to protect her sister to sole guardian p abruptly. Usually her parents are assassin archetypes. So she basically picks up their job all around. Raising their kid and killing people for their old clients to cover the bills. She and her sister sort of slip through the cracks, u know? She’s overbearingly overprotective of Renee, who is far more level headed than she is. Renee is also in charge of the cooking, as Amara could set a bowl of cereal on fire on accident. Renee is weirdly more maternal towards Amara, for all Amara does her best to take care of her. Amara’s alcohol abuse started pretty soon after her parents died. I call her an alcoholic a lot but I’m not sure if she is technically? Renee and her get into fights about it a lot. Renee would definitely lowkey relate to rapunzel a little. Amara is paranoid about losing any of her family (you can see this in htp with her [distant] cousin, Lev) so she can be annoyingly “no that’s dangerous youre not allowed” towards Renee.

Uhh, and last fact, while I have Amara’s nickname Mar and Mar-Mar come from Aalis and Cin in PD, in every other universe those come from Renee exclusively.

Poetry-inspired flash-fic

It has been far too long since a. I posted here, b. I wrote fic, c. I did this fun little meme, so here I am again!

Rules 1: Pick five fandoms. List them in alphabetical order. 2: Visit this site to find your first RANDOM POEM OF POWER. Write down the 5th line (yes, even if it's an E.E. Cummings poem and you wind up with an apostrophe). Repeat five times and - you guessed it - list them in alphabetical order! (No cheating, mind! This is a challenge and it's always been about creativity.) 3: I think you can see where this is going. Write a very quick 50-word half-drabble for each fandom (try to do it all in one sitting), using the line from the poem as a prompt. You don't have to include it in the half-drabble - it's just inspiration. 4: Bravo! Have a cookie.

(I always forget to alphabetise the poems, I just take them in order - and I had to find another random poem generator, the old one was broken. This one is very Canadian, but it's the best I could find - suggestions for other ones welcome!)

omg omg holy shit youve watched murdoch mysteries??? ive watched a good 95% of that show because my mom's liked it since i was in like 5th grade but ive never encountered any1 else in the wild who has watched it. anyways hiiiii

omg hii yes ive watched a good bit of it lol my dad loves it. we havent watched any in awhile but last year he was watching it almost every night and i caught a lot of episodes. i thought it was pretty good my dad and i really liked george and rebecca ^_^
